We hope through this blog to further conversations between composers and performers and audiences, and we welcome your input. In particular, we are interested in grounding conversations in actual performance practice, and so will generate essays as pre- and post-commentary to concerts in the Project One and counter)induction seasons.
In the 2006 season, counter)induction is presenting in collaboration with Project One a joint concert with jazz bassist and composer Chris Lightcap. Leading up to this concert, we hope to use this blog to explore some of the implications of the concert, and invite people to participate in that conversation.
This is a bit of an experiment, so wish us luck, and come along for the ride!
